What is El Futuro?
El Futuro is a community-based nonprofit organization that seeks to transform Latino-serving mental health care in North Carolina and beyond. We provide bilingual and culturally responsive mental health services including therapy, psychiatry, substance use treatment, and case management in a welcoming environment of healing and hope.You can learn more about El Futuro here.
Within El Futuro, our educational efforts are under our TECS department (Training, Education, and Consultation Services). You can learn more about this department here.
This website offers training and learning materials for providers, administrators, and other professionals working in the field of Latino Mental Health. Current resources include:

  • Recordings of webinars hosted by La Mesita
  • Toolkits for specific diagnoses, providers, and modalities
  • National and local resources for Latino mental health

These resources are geared towards providers working with the Latino Community on issues around mental health, including therapists, counselors, social workers, community health workers, among others. These resources are not intended for community members, clients, or patients.

No. We are unable to provide CEs for recorded webinars at this time. We do provide continuing education for counselors, social workers, and couple and family therapists via live webinars and other programming. You can learn more about these offerings here.
